Autism Spectrum Disorder Services

UCCF offers Diagnostic and Treatment Services specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) for individuals over 1 year of age. We are delighted to have Dr. Fiona Miller's expertise at UCCF. Dr. Miller is a nationally recognized expert in the assessment and treatment of ASD.

Fiona Miller, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Dr. Miller supervises the ASD program at UCCF, which includes diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, parent support, social skills groups, and school consults. Dr. Miller is a trainer for the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and is an ASD phenotyping consultant on the Simons Variation in Individuals Project (Simons VIP). She also has training in evidence based treatments for parent-child relationship difficulties, aggression, and fire-setting. Dr. Miller received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and completed her clinical training at the Hospital for Sick Children (HSC), the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the University of Michigan Autism and Communication Disorders Center (UMACC).

UCCF's Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Program

For individuals referred for:

  • Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS)
  • Asperger's Disorder (AS)
  • Autism (AUT)

Diagnostic Evaluation Package for ASD

  • Accepting referrals for individuals between 1 and 25 years of age
  • Diagnostic evaluation involves 2-3 appointments with 7 hours of Face to Face clinical contact time, including a parent interview, child cognitive assessment, an ADOS administration, and a feedback session
  • Evaluation conducted by Dr. Fiona Miller who is a fully licensed clinical psychologist
  • Dr. Miller is also a trainer for the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), including the Toddler Module as well as the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R)
  • The ADOS and ADI-R are considered Best Practice instruments for the assessment of ASD
  • Diagnostic evaluations are covered by BCN
