Figuring out Friendships: A
Mother-Daughter Workshop to Confront Relational Aggression
|
- How can girls form strong, healthy friendships in an
environment of "mean girls," cliques, and bullying?
- Together, girls and moms can explore strategies to deal
with these social
challenges.

Words
from a recent participant:
"If
you're a target of a bully or if you're a bystander, it
gives you the tools to say, 'You shouldn't treat that
person that way.' The workshop really got us moms
involved. We talked about a lot (our own experiences)
and your daughters maybe looked at us a little more
humanely when it was done, like 'Oh wow, that happened
to you?' It may make them a little more open to whatever
we might say later on." -- Kari Lau.
